Director of Advisor Services
Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly organized, ambitious candidate with a leadership mindset to join our firm’s advisor support team. The Director of Advisor Services leads our business processing team to assist existing advisors with business submissions as well as leading the account transition process for new advisors joining our firm. The Advisor Support team is integral in streamlining processes for our financial advisors so they can spend more of their time positively impacting the lives, lifestyles and legacies of their clients. This full-time position will be housed in our Southfield, MI office.
Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Assist with the training of new financial advisors, and their administrative team members, on technology systems related to new business submission.
- Dedicate time to learning new processes, procedures and technology introduced by our home office.
- Aim to find solutions to problems for dedicated team of advisors in Texas and Michigan.
- Lead the smooth transition of Experienced Advisors’ accounts when they join our firm.
- Assist compliance team with approval process for new account openings and electronic mail review and with various compliance and supervisory tasks.
- Become a trusted team member aiding our advisors and their support staff in finding solutions to their questions and problems.
- Study for and obtain the following licenses and registrations within first 12 months of hire: Series 7, 66, Life and Health Insurance, Variable Contracts. Studying time will be after hours and on weekends. The firm will reimburse the cost of each license and registration upon successful passed exam.
- Participate in firm-wide meetings on various subjects.
- Develop a positive support relationship with our affiliated advisors.
- Various projects as needed and communicated to by the MFC/PWS Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Ability to learn other software programs.
- Ability to be flexible and work cross-functionally across the firm.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organization and customer service skills required.
- Ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Ideal candidate holds one or more securities industry registrations.
- Ideal candidate should have experience utilizing a CRM software such as SmartOffice, Salesforce or Redtail.
